Villa Monte Mar is a recently built villa situated in a private residential area just a 10 minute walk from the centre of the popular holiday destination of Carvoeiro.
There is a choice of beaches just a short drive from the villa, together with a vast selection of bars, restaurants and clubs in Carvoeiro itself. Main shopping is at a large supermarket just outside the town. Golfers can play at two 18-hole courses - Pinta and Gramacho, both only a short drive from the villa.
Occupying a plot of about a quarter of an acre, with a large lawned area and gardens, and private heated pool.
Tourist tax
Please note that on 13th April 2024 a new law was passed approving a new tourism tax (Taxa Municipal Turística de Lagoa). All guests aged 13 years and over are required to pay this tax. The amount is €2 per person per night during high season (April – October) and €1 per person per night during low season (November – March). There is a cap of 7 nights on the tax. Therefore for all reservations in excess of 7 nights, you still only pay the tax for 7.

A fantastic villa in a perfect location

Superb villa and pool
Superb villa which was well equipped and furnished. All rooms air conditioned. Although we had car Carvoeiro was an easy walk. The pool was large and inviting with pool toys for the children. We have rented many villas in the Algarve. This was the best.
Excellent villa for familes
As a family of 6 including 4 older teens/young adults this was the perfect villa. Inside the house is immaculately clean and with all facilities needed. Outside, the pool area is spacious with plenty of sunbeds and has a high quality BBQ and eating area. Carvoeiro is a 15 minute walk or 5 minute taxi, and there are other local restaurants nearby. We will definitely stay again.
Villa holiday
We were a family of four and stayed in the villa for a week. The villa is lovely with all the facilities you need. Plenty of room, great air con, and a huge pool and landscaped garden. We had the pool heated which worked really well and was fantastic to swim in. Plenty of shade around the pool and the villa was in a nice quiet area of the town but still only a 5 min drive to the center. I would throughly recommend this villa - our children are both in early 20s and loved it. Can accommodate 8 people easily.
Fabulous Villa
We were a party of 8 (4 adults, 4 children - age range 8-10). Found this villa online and after enquiry was greeted with a speedy response from Liz. Booking process straight forward. As I was the one that found and booked the villa I was praying it lived up to the info/pictures online. It MOST certainly did. Very secure gated property on the edge of Carvoeiro surrounded by similar type properties. Very clean, huge pool (shallow & deep end) suitable for all ages. A short 15-20min downhill walk into Carvoeiro and a €4 taxi back. The villa has absolutely everything you need, home from home in that sense. We also requested a welcome package of food and drinks for our arrival - very helpful for late arrivals. Had the most amazing time in the most amazing Villa. Hope to return in the future!
